Based in the pictures village of Rhydymain, Dolgellau, Melau Stud is a young stud which has enjoyed considerable success in recent years. This success was led by the two home bred full brothers Melau Morrocco and Melau Montana. In the capable hands of Bobby Roberts these two colts won at major shows through the country. The stud is based on Eyarth, Hilin and Moelview bloodlines, and the stud aims to breed true Welsh ponies with the ability to do the job. Melau Morrocco is living proof of this following his success as a yearling winning 20 out of 22 shows went on to sell well at the Brightwells High Flyer Sale to Heather Ellis Jones and has had been successful under saddle.
The stud has several up and coming young stock available and visitors are always welcome.
